Strong Start to 2026 British GT Campaign at Silverstone

The 2026 British GT Championship got underway at Silverstone at the end of April, and it was fantastic to start the season by securing second overall alongside my team mate Jonathon Beeson in the #44 Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo.

Returning to British GT with Century Motorsport has been something I’ve really been looking forward to, and the whole team did an incredible job throughout the weekend. From the first sessions, we felt competitive and continued to build confidence in the car across practice and qualifying.

The Silverstone 500 is always one of the toughest races on the calendar. With three hours of racing, multiple Full Course Yellow periods and Safety Cars, strategy played a huge role from start to finish.

JB delivered a brilliant opening stint and kept us firmly in the fight throughout the early stages of the race. Through the FCY periods, we were able to make up valuable ground thanks to some excellent strategy calls from the team, putting us in a strong position heading into the final stages.

During the final Safety Car period, the team timed our stop perfectly and I took over the car for the run to the chequered flag. We had really strong pace in the closing laps and were able to push hard all the way to the finish, crossing the line second overall after an incredibly competitive race.

Although we finished second on the road, the winning entry was not eligible to score championship points due to being a guest entry, meaning Jonathan and I leave Silverstone leading the British GT Championship standings after the opening round of the season.

To start the year with a podium finish and maximum championship points is a fantastic result for everyone involved. A huge thank you to everyone that made this possible.

Now the focus shifts to Oulton Park as we look to continue the momentum and build on a really positive start to the 2026 campaign.
